Hasa's Story

HASA, Inc. is a manufacturing company primarily engaged in the production, sale, and distribution of sodium hypochlorite and related products to the industrial, water treatment and swimming pool markets in the western United States.

HASA, Inc. is family owned and operated. It has long been dedicated to both the needs of its customers and the impeccable standards of its product.

Don Wilson, the company’s forefather, began his career as a Michigan State University Graduate Chemical Engineer over half a century ago. After a career with Standard Oil Company of Indiana, he moved west and began his affiliation with HASA, Inc.; taking it from a struggling small divergent company, to a specialized, widely recognized industry leader.  HASA, Inc. was established in 1964 and expanded to its present location in 1972. The corporate office, located in Saugus, Southern California, encompasses a manufacturing facility, warehousing and administrative offices.

Mark S. Wilson continued to build upon his father, Don Wilson’s leadership and commitment to excellence. In 1982, Mark expanded the company with a second plant in Eloy, Arizona, and again in 1996 when a third facility in Pittsburg, Northern California was completed.

HASA, Inc. persevered in extending its influence by opening plants in Longview, Washington; Dallas, Texas and most recently, Bryan, TX 77807.

With its well-planned expansion, HASA, Inc., already a recognized leader in the swimming pool and water treatment industries, has been successfully able to service customers throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

In January of 2012, Hasa was delighted to announce that Mark Wilson would shoulder the sole role of Hasa’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), thereby continuing his strategic leadership of the company. As CEO, Mark Wilson remains active in all executive decisions, and Don Wilson serves as Chairman of the Board.

Rory Manley was appointed to assume the vacated title of President of Hasa, Inc. Rory has been an intricate player in the pool industry for over forty years. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in chemical distribution management.

Rory was formerly general manager at both Pool Water Products and General Pool Supply. For the past few years, Rory has been a member of Hasa’s management team, and was a vital source in developing the newest Hasa facility located in Texas.

HASA, Inc. takes pride in being at the cutting edge. Vice-President Lisa Johnson has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and over ten years of experience in the electronics industry, experience that allows HASA to be at the forefront of innovation. Lisa guided the Pittsburg facility through the unprecedented growth after the purchase of All Pure, Hasa’s competitor in Northern California.  Recently, Lisa earned a Masters in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College…giving further depth to the Hasa management team.

HASA, Inc. is the inventor of the no-glug jug and was the first United States owner of a sodium hypochlorite Powell machine. Not only does HASA use the highest quality raw materials coupled with the most advanced production technology, but they make considerable effort to stay ahead of government and environmental standards, guaranteeing customers the cleanest, most stable pool and industrial sanitizing materials available.

HASA, Inc. is also eager to “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle.” To eradicate the clutter and hazard of discarded containers from accumulating around pools and spas, Hasa Sani-Clor and Muriatic Acid is marketed in 4/1 deposit cases. This innovative practice has saved over 95 million pounds of plastic from being put into our landfills.

Additionally, the transportation of HASA’s finished products – from the gallon jugs to 5,000 gallon tankers – is primarily handled by HASA’s own vehicle fleet, enabling the product to reach customers swiftly and safely.

Primary industrial products include sodium hypochlorite and muriatic acid. While the swimming pool and spa trades are offered a full line of liquid and dry sanitizing products as well as a complimentary line of specialty products to enhance the pool experience.

With years of experience, education and enthusiasm in the chemical field and superior production capability, HASA, Inc. remains a family oriented corporation steadfastly helping its customers and their families enjoy clean, clear, and safe water.
